You can contact us with all your questions, whether you're a parent, child, or loved one of someone going through a divorce or who has already divorced. We also offer support and advice to professionals working in the field who encounter parents and children going through a divorce.

Strong together for children of (prospectively) divorced parents. Every child deserves to grow up healthy and safe and develop optimally, even when their parents separate.

Mission
Children of (prospectively) divorced parents should be able to simply be children and experience as little harm as possible from their parents' divorce.

Our vision
We are the leading resource in Zeeland for divorce cases. We minimize the negative impact of divorce on children and families by getting involved as early as possible. We do this by providing information, advice, support, training, guidance, and referrals in an accessible and non-judgmental manner. KisZ is there for separating or separated parents, their children, professionals, and their support network.

Free advice and support

Many (youth care) problems in Zeeland stem from divorce. The goal is to break this trend. That's why "Kind inscheiding Zeeland" (Child in Divorce Zeeland), formerly known as "JOOP," was launched in April 2019. "Kind inscheiding Zeeland" is funded by the 13 municipalities of Zeeland. Anyone in Zeeland with questions about divorce involving children can contact us. Our support is free.

Spider in the web

Child in Divorce Zeeland is there to guide the divorce process smoothly. We believe it's important not to be seen as another link in the chain, another obligation in what is often already a busy and stressful time, but as support, as help. Someone who eases the situation. From our position as a "spider in the web," we connect various disciplines. We also monitor whether the connection is actually established and has consequences. Child in Divorce Zeeland always acts in the best interests of the child. We support parents, involve the support network, advise on practical and pedagogical matters, and know what needs to be arranged and where to find the necessary support.

Experienced professionals

Kind in Scheiding Zeeland is part of SPRING Youth Professionals. We work exclusively with experts in children experiencing divorce. All divorce experts are trained as youth professionals and are SKJ-registered. Our approach is proactive and outreach-oriented. We examine what works well in families and how these can be further developed. The family's own strengths and networks are optimally utilized and further strengthened.

Reorganizing parenting

Children in Divorce Zeeland strives to better connect the various domains of prevention, care, justice, and legal services. This way, parents going through a divorce can receive proper support from the outset in restructuring their parenting. Anticipated conflicts are guided as effectively as possible, with the goal of preventing complex divorces as much as possible.
